Why Alabama Dog Guard

David and Beth, Owners

David and Beth Webster have been the Dog Guard™ dealer for the Birmingham, north-central Alabama area since 2003 and in the Montgomery/Auburn area since 2023. In that time, David has trained hundreds of dogs of all breeds to the Dog Guard™ pet containment system. They range from two to well over a hundred pounds and from four months to many years in age. He and his team have worked in 100-degree Alabama heat, wind and rain, as well as a time or two in rare winter snows.

He grew up in North Alabama and has lived here all his life. His family has loved and raised dogs since he was a child. Beagles, boxers, and bulldogs have been some of his favorites as well as their Schnauzer rescue mix, Pepper. She does a "happy dance" when it is time for her to get her Dog Guard™ collar on in the morning!

Performing much of the labor in building his last two homes has given him insights into the structure and functions of the many components of a residence. These insights ensure that the property of each Dog Guard™ client will be treated in a professional manner.

Beth was born and raised in Alabama. As a child, she had a dog named Popeye, who was her daily companion as they roamed the woods behind her house. She has always been a dog lover. She has taken Pepper through training to become a "Canine Good Citizen". When you deal with the Alabama Dog Guard™ team, you can be sure they understand how special your dog is to you.

Beth became a more active team member after her retirement from 25 years as an elementary special education/Title I resource teacher. Her role is office administrator and sales, and she occasionally goes out with David to help on service calls.

Faith, family, and friends have been basic touchstones for David and Beth since they met at Samford University and married shortly after graduation. They invite you to join the Dog Guard™ “family” experience.

Robert, Installer

Robert Hodge is a lifelong Alabamian. He has an extensive background in building maintenance and knows how to treat your home with care. Robert has been on the Dog Guard™ installation team for about eighteen years. He also has a Pit Bull named Motley, who has never left his Dog Guard™ boundary. When you choose Dog Guard™ you know that your home will be placed into knowledgeable, experienced hands throughout the entire process.

Pam, Communications Manager

Pam Levy, David and Beth's daughter, is our Communications Manager and another lifelong Alabamian. She has always had a love for animals and originally planned to be a vet, but decided a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Samford University fit her plans for family best. Pam has spent the last 15 years home-educating her three children. She put her communication skills to work and established, then directed, the Gadsden area Classical Conversations homeschool group in 2013. She has also worked for Alabama Dog Guard™ in differing capacities over several years and is pleased to have been in her present role since the summer of 2019. Pam and her children rescued Princess, the Dachshund, a few years ago. Now, Pam, her husband Matt, and their kids also have Jovie, a Lab mix. They all love spending time in the great outdoors. Faith, family, and having fun are important to keeping this crew going strong.
